BBC’s Countryfile are running their annual photography competition again this year and I thought I would enter for shits and giggles!
The competition has 3 judging stages, the first is a panel narrowing the entries down to an approx 3,000 long-list. The second is another panel which decides on 12 entries for a short-list. The final stage is the public vote!
The top prize is “£1,000 worth of photography vouchers from an outlet selected by the winner” which is for the photo voted the best by the public vote. There is also a prize of “£500 worth of photography vouchers from an outlet” for the panel’s favourite from the short-list.
Finally the 12 finalists plus 14 other photographs will be used in the 2011 Countryfile Calender!
