The British Summer

Match Abandoned! Flash Floods! Heatwave! It could only be a Summer in England.

I mean, where else in the world does the weather change 4 or 5 times in a day and still never matches what the weatherman predicted the night before? Last week there was bright sunshine and massive thunderstorms within 24 hours!

I am off to a Scout Jamboree the first week of August and I’m not sure whether to pack for a week in Spain or a week in the Arctic (or both!).

I feel sorry for the Met Office this time of the year because they never seem to get the weather right, even with their technology. English weather should be used as the ultimate test for psychics, if they get it right, they must be able to see into the future!

This weather is also a bastard for taking photos because you either have to cater for the sun (which turns photos of things into photos of shadows if you’re not careful) or the rain (which means not taking any photos, ramming your camera into your bag and rushing for shelter).

I think the only weather I haven’t seen during the summer is snow but I’m sure that will happen as well soon because we get everything else thrown at us xD
