E3 2009: Sony’s Show

After watching Sony’s E3 conference last night I felt so glad I bought a PS3! In the 2 hour show there were so many things that I was amazed by that I was speechless at the end!

I’ll cover a few things I found especially exciting (not in the order they were announced though)
First up is Gran Turismo 5. There wasn’t anything mentioned, they just showed a trailer but it was enough!

Next is a new game which hadn’t been seen before: Modnation Racers. It’s the next game in the “Play, Create, Share” genre and is a cross between LittleBigPlanet and Mario Kart. The game is your typical arcade kart racer but with the added ability to customise nearly everything about your kart and driver. Oh, and you can also build your own tracks with real ease.

And finally the thing that blew me away: the PS3 Motion Controller! I’m not going to say anything about it as I would be here for hours, just watch the video and everything will be revealed.

I’m personally not interested in much else that was mentioned but I thought Uncharted 2 looked wonderful as did Assassin’s Creed 2. MAG also seemed like an excellent game but it only looked like a 256 player Battlefield 2.

Overall a great show and Sony has finally produced the goods.
